Enya's interview, Nov 2, 2015
"So I could find my way, this is a song I dedicated to Nicky's mother. When I moved to Dublin to work with Nicky and Roma, I got to know her very well. Mona was her name and she passed away a few years ago. I got very close to her. On writing the melody, I felt it was appropriate to dedicate the song to her. It's a slow melody, very emotional. This is something that is quite universal when the mother moves on. You think about what she left behind in your life. That's what you'll always remember. What her stories were, what she was hoping for you. It's really that she was hoping you find your way (hence) so I could find my way".
Composed in D major key, So I Could Find My Way, the second track of Dark Sky Island album released on 20 November 2015 on Aigle Music, confirms once again through melodic line and lyrics, Enya's resources for gratitude and universality, the delicacy and profoundness of her huge artistic potential.
