Is produced by Michael Jackson and Quincy Jones, it was released as the album's third single in 1987 and became another number-one hit from the album on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. Michael wrote the song in response to his mother, Katherine, who requested a song with "a shuffling kind of rhythm". The Way You Make Me Feel reached the top in its tenth week, January 23, 1988, for one week.
